<p>Evernote is an application that lets you store and create notes. Its pretty much a virtual spiral notebook. While the actual application idea for Evernote has been around for a while[2. An early version shipped with my graphics tablet back in 05], it has gotten a recent overhall, and is much nicer to use now.</p> <span id="more-64"></span> <p>First off, Evernote now is server based. The client syncs with the server, and allows you to create and edit notes. Notes aren't limited to plain text only, though. They can be drawings too. If your on a tablet PC or use a graphics tablet, you can write in the notes, complete with shape recognition and other features.</p> <p>Another useful feature of Evernote is the ability to capture elements from other applications. This allows you to capture elements from a website, text document, pictures, or other things.</p> <p>Evernote has full search. Not only is the search text, but text in images as well (even handwriting!)</p> <p>When you close evernote, it syncs all your notes to the central server, so you can retrieve them later.</p> <p>But what if your not at a computer? Evernote has an online interface as well. While you cant draw in the notepad view, you can still view and add text notes.</p> <p>One feature that I havn't explored much is the checklist feature. I suppose this could be useful for large todo lists, but i really dont have much need for it, as Remember the milk serves my purposes.</p> <p>Evernote is Mac and PC.</p>
