Major features

High turret angles

This is a very popular addition to the qvm. This allows for humans to build turrets and other structures at angles that were not permitted before, pretty much anything below 90°. This allows for much easier to defend bases, and can reduce the amount of time lost from blocking, as well as allowing innovative bases to be built. This is controlled by the g_modTurretAngles cvar, which is off by default

!tklog

Want to know who has been teamkilling, or to check out any complaints about someone’s actions? This is an admin command for you. !tklog will show all tkers, what weapon was used, who was the victim, and the amount of damage done. The permisison flag is f, and this command really is useful

!outlaw and Bleeding Spree

Tkers can be such a drag on the team. They make it hard to build, hard to fight, and unpleasant for most players. Most qvms either ignore bleeders, kick them, or other such actions. We have a more creative approach. If someone bleeds their team or structures too much, they become an enemy of the base. Their base will turn on them, and begin to attack them. Turrets will target them when no alien is around. Medistations will drain their hp instead of give it. Boosters poison aliens. Even their respawn is delayed. This is controlled via a cvar and command. g_bleedingSpree is the amount of damage done in a minute to count as a bleeding spree. It is a factor of 100. So if you enter 3, a bleeder is someone who has done 300 damage to teammates in a minute. When a person is marked as a bleeder, their bleeder count goes down by 8 points per second. This can be an eternity for high bleeders. Admins can enter on the fun via the !outlaw command. !outlaw can be used to mark people as bleeders, or excuse them from actions. It can also be used to check people’s bleeder values.

No noob builders

Always !denybuild unnamedplayers? Now you dont have to. If you enable the feature, along with newbieNamePrefix, the qvm will automatically deny unnamed players building rights. They can build as soon as they change their name to something else. Cvar controlled by g_newbieNoBuild to toggle. The message sent to denied players can be customized via g_newbieNoBuildMsg.

These are only a few of the features that have been added to the qvm. Download it now and try it out.
