Nintendo has announced another addition to its game line. WiiSportsResort. WiiSportsResort features a large amount of games, quite a bit more than the orignal WiiSports. Some new titles include a frisbee throwing game, a jetski game, and a fencing/sword fighting game.
These games will be played with the new WiiMotionPlus, an attachment for the WiiMote that increases its sensitivity. Examples are the throttle on the jetski game is controlled by rotating the WiiMote, the frisbee angle controlled by the position of the Wiimote.

Nintendo is offering a new feature to DS owners who use their handhelds for entertainment in the airport. The DS will be able to pick up airport data, and show passengers what gate their flight is at, the status of the flight, the luggage information, etc. This will expedite traveling and possibly make the airport a little bit more enjoyable.
Looks similar to the interface Nintendo has had at Safeco field in Seattle, which allows people to view highlights, view other game stats, buy food, etc.
I must admit. I enjoy the sims games. They are satisfying. That said, TS2 was quite a dissapointment. Hopefully TS3 will deliver more.
You can see its trailer on the full page, plus some speculations.

I will be covering e3 for the duration of the conference. All e3 posts will have the e3 logo (see the left of this post) off to the side. You can view all e3 posts here.
All other posts will not have that logo.
Thanks for a great year, the coverage has now ended.
Microsoft has added Red and green controllers to their lineup of Black, White, Pink, and Blue controllers. These controllers are the same in functionality as any other controller, but are quite colorful.
Perhaps Microsoft is celebrating Christmas in July.

Nintendo has added VoiceChat to the wii, but in a manner significantly different than that of the other console makers. Instead of making each player wear a headset, WiiSpeak works more like an enterprise TeleConference system. That is, there is one microphone (It sits atop the sensor bar), and everyone talks into it. Voice comes from the TV speakers.
Animal Crossing Wii is said to support this feature
