Articles that do not relate to other websites, rather to this website and my personal exploits
I work for reddit
Just a quick update, to make my blog look like its important in my day to day life. If you havn’t been following my twitter feed very closely, you probably dont know this. I now work for reddit.com. Exciting isnt it.
Read the full blogpost about it at their site. If you want to leave comments here, there is a higher chance I will filter them out of the muck.
Redesign in progress
Its that time of year again. I’m feeling like i want to redesign my site, and so, i am doing so.
This current design is nice and pretty, but, outside Webkit and firefox, it can actually get kind of ugly. I have been playing around with various alternative design styles, and some of them have piqued my interest.
So, simply put, a new design is coming. Why should you care about this?
Because I’m going to release my current design into the wordpress theme marketplace. I know many people have asked for this theme, and it would be a pleasure to release.
Vector rage comic parts
Fffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuu comics, also known as rage comics, are quite amusing. To help you make more comics, I present you with a set of vector resources for these comics.
Enjoy
Welcome!
Welcome to the new version of Paradox Designs. I worked on this version for just over four months, and it is better than the previous design for a number of reasons, such as:
- Cleaner code: This theme was coded 100% from scratch, so there is no sphagetti code, and no attempting to cover existing functionality with boilerplates or other hacks.
- Light CSS: Instead of using gradient images for backgrounds and all sorts of places, I took advantage of as many CSS3 properties as possible. So, if you are viewing the site in Chrome, Safari, or Firefox 3.6, it should look nice and pretty. If your viewing it on IE, well, you still get gradients, but they don’t look as good and you don’t get shadows and round corners
- No buggy jQuery: When I made the previous design, I was just getting into jQuery. As such, it was a bit, well, buggy. This site is much lighter on the Javascript. Gone are the featured post boxes, the tabs, the like (no one really ever used them anyway. I might bring them back later, but in a cleaner, better form.
Thats just a quick list.
Bear with me for a few days while I tighten all the bolts and get this ready for production. New articles are already waiting to be published!
