More reddit mobile screenshots

The new homepage design. Look at how nice that content looks!

I know you guys are excited for Reddit mobile. While I can’t comment on the release date yet, I can provide you with screenshots of the changes that have been made over the past couple of days. Full gallery after the break.

Whats Changed?

The homepage

If you saw my last screenshots of the reddit homepage, you should have noticed that a significant change has been made. This new homepage is much easier to use, and much prettier. All of the same content is there, its just been moved around and tweaked a bit. While not the final product, or even what you will see in the beta, this is pretty close.

Submit page

Reddit mobile has had a submit page for about a month now, but it was impossible to use and horribly ugly. Not anymore! Now its very pretty, very easy to use, and works well with big fat fingers. Everything the main submit page does, this one does too.

The autocomplete dropdown looks particularly good. This doesn’t use HTMl5 dropdown yet, as that isn’t fully supported across enough platforms, but this fall it should.

Whats next

First and foremost is the beta. The beta should be set up before, or slightly after, June 1st. I cant give any more accurate time than that, because, well, there isn’t a line in the sand.

Other features I’m looking into implementing is swiping across the page to switch “tabs”, such as from hot to new, or tabs in the message window.

So, follow this blog and follow me on twitter for the latest updates.
