e3 logoThey had very little to show at e3 this year, except this trailer. Very little was shown about the game, in fact, almost nothing at all was shown. Still, its something, better than a lot of companies announcements.

Watch for some extra goodness crotch wise.

e3 logoOne concern many gamers had with the new Xbox360 interface was their ability to use themes. Major Nelson has dissapated any stresses with a recient blog post, revealing what the themes “could” look like. The current preview looks really nice, so thats probably what microsoft will do.

I think that is a great improvement over the current theme system. The current system only changes the background, and as such can render text and other UI elements hard to use. The new theme looks as if it will not only change backgrounds, but change text color, images, and other UI elements.

e3 logoThe LA times has a story on why microsoft canceled bungie’s appearance at E3.

Turns out that Bungie’s latest Halo project was originally part of the program for Microsoft’s press conference on Monday, but it was taken out of the lineup at the last minute. Don Mattrick, senior vice president of Microsoft’s Xbox games business, said the company decided to pull Halo …

… to help trim its E3 presentation to under 90 minutes, from 2 1/2

hours, to accommodate attention-challenged reporters. “We had an

embarrassment of riches,” Mattrick said. “We felt we could do this game

more justice with a more

dedicated event.”
