Facebook is great. It lets you share things with your friends, and does a good job by doing so. One problem is that many people have fairly boring profile pages. Usually they have one or 2 annoying apps, and nothing that is actually useful. There is a way you can integrate the various services you have an account on into your facebook, to make your page truly say who you are.

For those of you who are friends on my facebook account (you know who you are), I have added a feature to my page there, that ties in with this blog. When i post an update, it will appear on my newsfeed too. It will also show up in a small content box on the site.

Digsby, my IM program of choice, has added Facebook chat support. For those who don't know, Facebook recently added a chat feature to their site, and, although clean and well built, it required you to stay on facebook or have a browser open. This was crippling. Now, since digsby supports it, you can chat with your friends at any time.
This demonstrates something remarkible about digsby. Yes, there are many other all in one IM clients out there, but Digsby does something none of the others do. They update frequently and add new protocols. Facebook currently says that
We do not support 3rd party chat applications at the moment, yet digsby works perfectly.The update didn't go flawlessly for me, I had to download and install a copy the old fashoned way, but other than that, it was smooth.
The only real problem i can see with the current implementation is that my Facebook contacts aren't mixed into my normal list. Digsby claims they are working on it, so hopefully it will be ready in a few days.
