Google chrome was released today, and i have been using it for a while now. It is different than most other browsers, but almost all the changes are good. It is speedy, clean, well built, and doesn’t crash. They seem to be missing a few things, but for beta software, its incredibly complete.

Google has announced that it will be releasing a browser tomorrow, for beta testing. Named Google Crome (likely a beta name), it will mix elements from Webkit and Firefox, as well as a new javascript engine, and other google technologies.
Each tab will be isolated in its own “sandbox”, so one crashing tab doesn’t bring down your whole browser.

At the recommendation of Lava Croft, I have switched to opera. The switch is by no means easy, as i have gotten so used to the firefox interface, bugs, and other things. This is a review, documenting my experience switching to this browser. As such, it may have omissions, it may be wrong in some places, but for anyone looking to do a switch, it should be perfect.
Firefox has had tabs forever. They are very useful, but if you like to open many tabs, they can clutter up your screen, and titles can become all but resolvable. Also, it can be difficult to see which tabs came from where. This handy extension can completely change the way you interact with tabs, for the better.
Firefox 2 was probably the worst release of Firefox in history. It was slow, bloated, didn’t have too many new
features. Worst of all, it crashed and froze. Oh how infuriating it would be, to load up a website, and have it freeze during loading. It wouldn’t gracefully close either, no, it would lock up and gobble up your ram. Sometimes, my computer (which is by no means weak) would just stop working till I forced firefox to close using Process explorer[1.Look for an upcoming post about this amazing tool and its cousins]. When the process finally terminated, the ram graph would drop by about 80%, and the computer would become usable again. Opening tabs would only aggravate the problem. I had tried all the various speed remedies around the internet, adjusting about:config[2. The speed settings and cache settings], removing plugins, installing speed plugins, everything. Nothing worked. So I waited for a decent build of Firefox 3. Yesterday, beta 5 came out.
