I spent all yesterday playing with the NXE, and I am quite impressed. It isn’t as good as expectations lead it to be, but few things are. All in all, apart from a few networking issues, it was a perfect update. The new features they added make it a faster console to use, and a fun-er console to use. Tasks that used to take many clicks now can be achieved almost instantaneously, and you can do far more in game far faster, so you spend less time changing your music track and more time gaming.

Sorry to all you who read regularly, I havn’t updated in over a month, as i have been on vacation. Normal posting should return
In other news, you may notice the forums have dissapeared. This is because i got tired of spam accounts registering. Those of you who had old accounts can still use them on the site. I may relaunch the forums again with something else, but that is far in the future.
In the mean time, i have been playing a number of games, including Mass Effect, Geometry wars, and a few others. Reviews pending.
They had very little to show at e3 this year, except this trailer. Very little was shown about the game, in fact, almost nothing at all was shown. Still, its something, better than a lot of companies announcements.
Watch for some extra goodness crotch wise.
Nintendo has announced another addition to its game line. WiiSportsResort. WiiSportsResort features a large amount of games, quite a bit more than the orignal WiiSports. Some new titles include a frisbee throwing game, a jetski game, and a fencing/sword fighting game.
These games will be played with the new WiiMotionPlus, an attachment for the WiiMote that increases its sensitivity. Examples are the throttle on the jetski game is controlled by rotating the WiiMote, the frisbee angle controlled by the position of the Wiimote.

The first Mercenaries game was quite enjoyable, and full of explosions. There has been little word on development of the second game, however, but some new screens were revealed at e3.
Game studio id, of quake and doom fame, is no longer publishing its games via Activision. John Camarak said EA will publish the upcoming shooter Rage, and have access to the id enginge technology.
I know what your thinking Uggh, ANOTHER music game
. Nintendo claims this one will be different. There are supposedly over 50 instruments, from japanese drums to saxophones. The game supports up to 4 players, and will evaluate your preformance, and give you the option to record a video and share it with friends.
Nintendo wants this to be similar to the other Wii series of games, like WiiSports and WiiFit.
