The LA times has a story on why microsoft canceled bungie’s appearance at E3.
Turns out that Bungie’s latest Halo project was originally part of the program for Microsoft’s press conference on Monday, but it was taken out of the lineup at the last minute. Don Mattrick, senior vice president of Microsoft’s Xbox games business, said the company decided to pull Halo …
… to help trim its E3 presentation to under 90 minutes, from 2 1/2
hours, to accommodate attention-challenged reporters. “We had an
embarrassment of riches,” Mattrick said. “We felt we could do this game
more justice with a more
dedicated event.”

Well, the rumored release date of Halo Wars being in late 2008 was wrong, by a year. Halo wars will not be released till 2009.

I like playing Halo 3. I do it quite a bit. But one thing that seems really bothersome is the way Lone wolves plays. I do not enjoy it. The games seem stale and repeditive. There is no variation.
Well, the lan party went well yesterday. We had a halo tournament as well as a brawl tournament. In the Halo tournament, i made it all the way to the finals. The final score, 25-23 them. Brawl looked like it went well, although i cant make a good judgement, as i dont play it.
All in all, this was very successful.
People seemed to enjoy Call of Duty, and that was to be expected, but very few people played tremulous. Ah well, i played some games on SST, and was entertained.
I have been attempting to get this achievement in Halo 3 since i got Overkill, and really since i started playing Lone Wolves. Today, i got my wish. While playing a game in the Legendary Double XP weekend, i managed to get a frenzy. While my overall score for the game was crap (when i got the achievement, i started jumping around happily, not really focusing on playing). Now, i am yet another of the security armored katanas running around. Look at me:
Avalanche is a port of Sidewinder, a Halo 1 map, in the new Halo 3 Legendary Map pack. It is a map set in snowy glaciers, and provides very entertaining gameplay. Read more for full review.
Blackout is a map in the Legendary Map Pack for Halo 3. It is a port of the Halo 2 map, Lockout. It is perhaps one of the most anticipated maps ever released by Bungie, and as such, deserves a complete review.
Ghost town is one of the new maps in the Legendary Map Pack, released yesterday (the 15th of April). It is a very interesting map, different than every other Halo 3 map. It bears some resemblance to maps of halo 2 and CE, but the gameplay is quite different. As the only new
